Jak dobrać perfumy do pory roku

How to choose perfumes for the season

Temperature and humidity have a real impact on how a scent behaves on the skin. That's why a composition that seems perfect in summer can become almost imperceptible in winter—and vice versa.

Spring and summer are seasons for lightness. Higher temperatures intensify fragrance projection, so it's worth reaching for citrus, green, and aquatic compositions—fresh, airy, and non-overpowering. Heavy, resinous perfumes on a hot day can become overwhelming for both us and those around us.

Autumn and winter call for depth. Cool air "holds" the scent closer to the skin, allowing us to indulge in more intense, warmer compositions—woody, spicy, gourmand. This is the time when base notes—musk, sandalwood, vanilla—have the space to fully develop.

It's also worth remembering the time of day. Light and citrusy scents naturally work better in the morning and during the day, while deeper, more sensual compositions build their full character in the evening.

There's no one rule that fits everyone—this is more of a starting point for experimentation. In the VELOURÉ collection, you'll find fragrances designed with different seasons in mind, so your scent routine can change with the calendar.
